WHICH FUTURE FOR THE POWDERED MILK STOCK IN EUROPE?

The end of milk quotas in 2015 has led to an increase of volumes produced and therefore to falling prices. In order to tackle the crisis, the European Union intervened on the powdered milk market. The amassed stocks reach 380.000 tons today. The current situation on the market remains too hazardous to consider the disposal of those stocks. The risk of jeopardising the economies of developing countries that are progressively establishing their own dairy industry cannot be taken. Therefore the measures should be oriented towards the humanitarian aid, people impacted by famine and the refugee camps.

I would like to know which measures the European Commission will take in order to create a synergy between the need to absorb the powdered milk stock and the solidarity duty towards the most deprived on the planet.
